Microsoft Teams can be used via a mobile app. Click on this link to download the app for any device.
Once you have the app installed on your device, you will want to set up how you receive notifications.
You can access Notification settings by clicking on the three line (burger) menu at the top left of the app which will expand to show your profile (see Fig 1). Choose Notifications in the menu below your name to customise your notifications.
Receive notifications to mobile – ‘always’ or when ‘not active on desktop’
You can choose whether notifications are sent to your device Always, or only When I’m not active on desktop (you are considered inactive after 3 minutes of inactivity.) See Fig 2.
It is a good idea to set quiet hours, which will mute notifications between certain hours or days.
To set it up, go to menu in the top left corner of the mobile app > Notifications > Quiet hours. Then set a specific time of day when you want Teams to hold your notifications—or choose entire days (Fig 3)
