Learning on the move with Moodle
As a LIPA student you will be using Moodle VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) every day to support your studies.
Moodle is the place where information for each of the modules you take will be held, including the teaching content, such as lecture slides, reading materials and areas for assignment submission.
This is why it’s important that you are able to access and use Moodle outside of LIPA network, from your home and on the move using your own device.
Navigate to Moodle
You need to follow the steps below to navigate your way to the system.
Step 1: Go to https://www.lipa.ac.uk/ and navigate to My LIPA link on the top right hand side of the page (Fig 1).
Step 2: You will be taken to a LIPA sign in page where you will be asked to enter your LIPA e-mail address to sign in (Fig 2).
Step 3: Upon entering your e-mail you will quickly see a message saying ‘Taking you to your organisation’s sign in page’ and then you will see another login screen asking for your LIPA username and password (Fig 3):
Step 4: Once in LIPA MyDay (https://lipa.myday.cloud) and click on the purple Moodle button in your dashboard (Fig 4).
A Moodle page will open next. If you have not logged in to Moodle before, it may appear as a plain white webpage with a button on the top right where you will need to log in (see image below).
You will be taken to the login page next.
Important: ensure you use the LIPA Office 365 option to login using your LIPA account (as per image below).
Using LIPA Office 365 login functionality allows us to integrate Moodle with the rest of the Office 365 apps making your e-mails, calendar and documents just one click away from the Moodle platform.
