Moodle tricks (staff) – Self-enrolment on Moodle modules

Enrol yourself onto Moodle modules with a click of a button

The New Moodle allows teaching members of staff to self-enrol on relevant modules. It takes just a moment and a click of a button.

Find your module

To locate the module you need access to, click on the ‘Programmes’ button in the top ribbon of the Moodle page (see Fig.1 below) and select the category for your module.

Select the module from the list in the category (Fig. 2)

Enrol me

You will be presented with ‘Enrolment options’ where you will find a Self-enrolment (Teacher) option with a button ‘Enrol me’ (Fig. 3)

Clicking on the ‘Enrol me’ button will enrol you as a teacher and will immediately take you to the module.

Unenrolling from a module

Enrolled on a module by mistake? You can unenrol from a module by following the below steps:

Step 1: In the module dashboard, go to the cog menu on the top right corner of the page to access the course settings (Fig. 4).

Step 2: Click on ‘Unenrol me from [Module Name]’

Step 3: A confirmation window will appear asking if you really want to unenrol from the course. Click ‘Continue’ to confirm (Fig. 5)

That’s it – you have removed yourself from a module.
